At GattiTown pizza. Look at that form! Lindsey and Daisy on the Frog Hopper, which whips up and down. I thought it would terrify Daisy. It didn't. Buster gets his speed on. Buster gets his crash on. Buster gets his girls on. 11/8/09
We're headed to Noe Valley to trick or treat on Fair Oaks Ave. with our friends Sara, Caleb and Toby. Zorro not in full dress yet. Rare appearance of the difficult-to-keep-in-place tiara. The groovy '80s music video effect is actually a bus-stop shelter. Cinderella, you devil! On the 14 Mission. Just another late afternoon on Mission Street. First trick or treat stop: A bar. Two guys in the doorway: One giving out candy to kids, one checking ID's. Suiting up. Sara paints Caleb the bat's face. Here he is. Zorro straps it on. Toby the mummy. They're off. They better watch out. There's some weird, ugly-looking people out here. Whoa. That's better. I love San Francisco, don't you?
Still photography does not do justice to Cinderella's light-up shoes, so we now present this short film.
Couldn't get a good picture of this either, but there was a teenage rock band playing on the veranda of a house on Fair Oaks, atop a garage that was also a haunted house. Zorro liked 'em. Cinderella danced with the devil to them. Up! And down. Headed home. Going, going ... Gone. Good night, Cinderella. Your chariot has turned back into the 14 Mission. 10/31/09
At the Excelsior Youth Center. Buster's been wearing this shirt for half of his life now. He got it when he was 3. Mom's got the Big Yellow Gloves to protect her spectacular new nail job (not pictured). The artist at work. Daisy gets a hand from her new friend Jenna. Aaaand ready to go. Buster and Dad try to run home faster than Mom and Daisy can drive. A noble effort, but not successful. Two views of the finished product, no flash and flash. Which is scarier? 10/31/09
This blog has officially decided to stop trying to catch up, and is now skipping ahead to roughly the present. If your humble blogger is ever laid up for a few weeks, photos from June through October might appear. Meanwhile, look, here's Mom in the pumpkin patch near Stern Grove. It must be almost Halloween. This pumpkin patch has art projects. A slide. And a jumpy house. Did you catch the outfit? 10/25/09
Daisy's got her shoebox and she's outta here. Coloring at the restaurant. Sam is wearing some kind of sacred ancestral Cleveland garment. Oliver, Buster and Maggie are conferring over a major crayon project. Dad can draw too! (Everyone, humor Dad. Thank you. -webmaster) I call this "The Face of the Creative Process." Possible alternative title: "Buttering a Muffin." 6/14/09
